KESA Board Member Openings: 

 

 

Co House Chair: OPEN Support the House Chair in organizing both Spring and Fall House Soccer programs. Spring House begins in April with team organization and runs from May through June. During the first couple of weeks, you’ll be on the field as a point of contact for any concerns or issues that arise. Fall House starts with team organization at the end of September, followed by programming from October to December in the Dome. Similarly, you’ll be present during the first couple of weeks of Indoor House to address any questions or concerns. Additional responsibilities include helping organize uniforms and distributing them to families, as well as working with admin to confirm registration, counting jersey stock for Admin to order and ensure players have checked in.

 

Co REP/DEV Chair: OPEN Work closely with the Co-REP/DEV Chair to coordinate Spring and Winter programs, collaborating with families, managers, and coaches throughout the season. Partner with the Technical Director and President to ensure smooth operations and organize Coach, Manager, and Parent meetings at the start of each program. Serve as the primary point of contact for REP/DEV teams, addressing any questions or concerns that arise. Additionally, work with Admin to manage registration, confirm payments with late registrations, and verify player attendance. Provide support for all tasks related to REP/DEV to help ensure successful programming.

 

Adult Chair: Filled! Organizing Winter Adult League in the Dome, working with Admin for registrations and payments. Overseeing the Ladies drop in, Fall drop in, (Ladies Spring outdoor). Being the main contact for any related questions or concerns regarding Adult Soccer with KESA

President: Filled! Oversees all programs, finances and helps where needed.  Placing orders for equipment and gear, working with admin to book fields and pay bills.  Making sure club follows BC and Canada soccer policies.  Sets up coach and ref education.  Runs monthly board meetings.  

Vice President/Disciplinary Chair: Filled! Work with President, if President is away, the VP will be the main contact. Disciplinary Chair - is the 1st point of contact regarding any issues arising within KESA. If issue can not be resolved, Disciplinary Chair will form a disciplinary panel to move forward with the issue. 

Public Relations Chair: Filled! Posting to KESA's socials with updates on: sponsors, teams, achievements, meetings etc. Working with the President and Admin for postings and draft monthly newsletter (post to Socials and email to Admin to email out to members).

Tournaments Chairs (2): Filled! 4 tournaments to organize - June's Kootenay Rovers Classic, 3 Indoor Tournaments - 2 fall (adult/youth) and 1 spring (youth). Organize teams once registered, main point of contact regarding questions or concerns regarding the tournaments. Organize schedule for all tournaments. Working with President, REF Chair, REP/DEV Chairs, Concession, and Admin for all tournaments.  Working with Sponsorship chair and Admin for sponsors for the Kootenay Rovers Classic tournament. Helping Admin with TEAM SNAP tournament set up for registrations and game results. 

Indoor Facility Chair:  Filled! Oversee the Indoor Facility. Open and close Indoor Facility when new users need let in (show how to use batting machines), set heat online for the week of bookings, deal with any issues with the Dome (vandalism, turf), help with maintenance of snow blower, have board help with fence removal and set up each year.

Equipment/Lining Chair: OPEN - Responsible for managing all equipment at Moir and New Dawn Place. Coordinate with House Chairs, REP/DEV Chairs, the President, and Admin to ensure equipment is ordered, stocked, and available. Maintain sign-in/sign-out sheets for coaches to track equipment usage and ensure all items are collected at the end of each season. Lining Duties:

  • Assist with contracting the lining work.
  • Be available to purchase lining paint as needed.
  • Support the lining contractors to ensure fields are lined at the scheduled times.
  • Maintain and oversee the lining machines.

 

 

Pls note: Concession will be a Sub-Committee during Spring House Program and Kootenay Rovers Classic Tournament. This committee will be responsible for: Ensuring concession is well-stocked. Organizing volunteers during Spring House to help run concession from May to end of June. They will also organize volunteers the June Kootenay Rovers tournament.
